New Features Added to the Bidding Platform
2026
July 29
- Add Credits to Seller Settlements
- You can now apply a flat credit directly to a seller's settlement. It raises the Grand Total without affecting the subtotal or commission, giving you a clean way to add one-off amounts owed to a seller.
- 3D Virtual Tours on Items
- Items can now include a Matterport 3D tour. Bidders will see a "3D Tour" thumbnail in the item carousel and can explore the space right inside the photo viewer or fullscreen, perfect for real estate and larger lots.
- Bulk-Export First Item Photos
- The Photo Manager has a new Export Photos option that downloads just the first image of every item as a single zip file. Great for quickly building marketing materials or catalogs without pulling every photo one at a time.
- Buy Backs Now in Auction Summaries
- Auction summaries now include buy-back lots and their associated fees, and those figures flow through to your Multi-Auction Reports. Your financial reporting now reflects the full picture.
- Invoice Numbers on Card Payments
- Credit card payments now carry the invoice's number into the payment record within Authorize.net, making it much easier to match transactions to invoices when reconciling your books.
- Acreage in Multi-Par Results
- Winning multi-par solutions now display acreage for each parcel or combination, plus a total acreage and per-acre figure in the header, handy for land and farm auctions.
- More Auto-Extend Group Options
- The Auto Extend Group list has expanded from 26 to 52 options (now including AA–ZZ), giving you far more flexibility when grouping lots that close together.
- Faster Global Search
- Item search now starts returning results after just 3 characters instead of 4, so bidders find what they're looking for a little sooner.
- Rows-Per-Page on Settlements
- The admin settlements list now has a rows-per-page selector, matching the invoices and items lists, so you can control how many settlements you see at once.
July 21
- More Control Over AI-Generated Catalog Descriptions
- You can now choose exactly how AI-generated content gets applied to your catalog items. Replace the existing description entirely, add the AI content before it, or append it after. You can also provide custom context for individual items to guide what the AI generates. More flexibility when you're using AI to speed up your cataloging.
- Auction-Level Documents
- Auctions can now have their own documents attached directly to them. Before, documents could only go on individual items. Admins upload them from the auction settings page, same as they already do for items. Bidders will see a new "Documents" tab alongside the auction details where they can open any attached files.
- Bidder's Choice: Faster Round Advancement
- The "Run Bidder's Choice again" toggle is now on by default, so clerks can move through rounds faster during live auctions without re-enabling it each time.
July 1
- Bidder Chat
- You can now offer live chat to bidders right inside the platform. Bidders get a chat widget while they browse, and your staff get a dedicated inbox to view and respond. Set chat availability at the company or auction level so you decide when it's on.
- Accepted Online Maxbids Now Highlighted in Auction Progress
- When an online bidder's max bid is accepted, the bidding panel highlights that state clearly. A small visual cue that helps clerks and auctioneers stay oriented during fast-moving lots.
- Faster Clerking Panel
- The bidding panel in the online clerk now updates right after each bid action. Things should feel a lot snappier during live sales.
- Lot ID Column on the Admin Bids List
- Lot ID is now a column on the admin bids list, so it's easier to cross-reference bids with your lot records at a glance.
- Fixed: Bid History Freezing During Rapid Bidding
- A few of you reported the bid history widget freezing during heavy auto-accept activity, showing a stale high bidder even as the ask moved. That's fixed. History now stays in sync during rapid-fire bidding.
- Fixed: Clerking Panel Error with "Hide For Sale" Listings
- We found a bug affecting auctions with items set to "Hide For Sale." Clerks trying to open the online or live clerking panel would hit an error that stopped it from loading. That's resolved, and panels now load correctly no matter your listing settings.
June 23
- Hide "For Sale" Status on Item Listings
- You now have the option to hide the "For Sale" status label on your listings, giving you more control over how your items appear to bidders.
- Registered Bidders Count on Auction Reports
- Your Auction Report home page now shows the number of registered bidders for each auction.
- New Star and Share Icon Color Customization
- We can now customize the color of the star and share icons, giving you even more control over your brand's look and feel. (Send us an email if you want these changed, and we'll update this for you behind the scenes!)
- YouTube Links with Tracking Parameters Now Work Correctly
- If you've ever pasted a YouTube link with extra tracking info in the URL, it may not have embedded properly. We've fixed this, so your video links work reliably no matter how they're copied from YouTube.
- Three-Dot Menu on Item Cards Links to Auction Details
- Item cards on Global Item Search and Global My Items now include a three-dot menu with a direct link to the auction details page, making navigation quicker for your bidders.
- Statement Layout Profiles
- You can now choose between three layout styles (Compact, Standard, and Comfort) for your invoices, settlements, and pick lists. Whether you prefer a tighter, information-dense layout or something with more breathing room, there's an option to match your preference. Find it in your Company Configuration settings.
June 9
- Smarter AI Catalog
- When you use AI Catalog at the auction level, it now runs on new items only by default. You get all the speed and convenience of AI-assisted cataloging without it re-processing items you've already set up. Less noise, more efficiency.
- Bug Fix: Unpublishing Items After Auction Completion
- Items in a completed timed auction couldn't be unpublished before, which made post-auction inventory management a headache. That's fixed! You can now freely update the published status of items once an auction has fully completed.
- Bug Fix: Map Pin Locations Restored
- A recent update caused auction and item location coordinates to stop auto-populating, so map pins were defaulting to the wrong spot. This is resolved, and location coordinates now save correctly again.
June 5
- Private Notes Column
- We added a Private Notes column and search filter to the Invoices and Settlements list view, so you can flag, track, and filter with internal notes right from the admin portal.
- Bulk Settlement Actions
- We brought the popular invoice behavior over to Settlements. Update tax and commission rates across all items on a Settlement at once and cut your manual data entry at closeout.
- Live Bidding Bug Fix
- We squashed an edge case where the bid button could get stuck on "PREBID" while transitioning between items.
May 28
- Item Screen Reorganized for Faster Cataloging
- We moved Lot ID, Stock Number, and Auction Position to the top of the item screen so your most-used fields are front and center. Less scrolling, faster cataloging.
- Invoice Font Size Fix
- A bug was causing invoice text to appear larger than intended, and that's now corrected. We've also heard feedback that the updated font feels too small for some users, so in an upcoming release you'll be able to choose between small, medium, and large font sizes on your invoices and settlements. Stay tuned!
- AI Cataloging Back on Track
- Some of you may have noticed hiccups with AI cataloging while we were upgrading to the latest AI models. That issue has been resolved and AI cataloging is back to normal. We're also actively working on a fix for the "Hold to Refine" button and hope to have that out to you very soon.
May 21
- Item Cataloger Tracking
- You can now see who created or last updated each lot, including the staff member's name and ID. This information is visible in the admin panel, CSV exports, and summary reports.
- Search by Private Notes in Auction Review
- Admins can now search lots by their private notes directly from the auction review interface.
- Pay Now Threshold for Invoices
- You can now set a minimum invoice amount that controls whether the "Pay Now" button appears for bidders. If an invoice falls below the threshold, the Pay Now option stays available. At or above it, the button is hidden. Leave the threshold blank and nothing changes from your current setup.
- Multi-Auction Seller Summary Report
- A brand-new Seller Summary Report is now available alongside the existing Buyer and Item reports. Filter and sort by seller name, seller number, location, total paid, total commission, lots sold, auctions sold in, and more with full CSV export support.
- Company Logo as Favicon
- Your company's logo now appears as the browser tab favicon across the bidder platform, login pages, and admin portal, giving your auction site a more polished, branded look.
- Fix: Invoices and Pick Lists Now Print in Lot Order
- Bulk-printed invoices, pick lists, and release tickets now correctly sort lots by lot identifier rather than the order in which they sold. This was a bug for auctions where lots didn't sell sequentially.
May 5
- Bidder Capping in Registrations
- You can now set bidder caps directly on a bidder's registration, giving you more control over who participates in your auctions and how much they can spend.
- Auction Pause
- Need to hit the brakes mid-auction? You can now pause an auction and resume when you're ready.
- Bulk Statements Unlock
- Unlock multiple Invoices or Settlements at once with our new bulk unlock feature, saving you time when managing your statements.
- Photo Management Fix
- We've resolved an issue with photo manipulation in the manager and catalog views. Everything should be displaying and working smoothly again.
Apr. 23
- New Feature
- Pick Lists just got a lot more flexible! You can now configure them directly from your invoice settings to better fit your workflow.
- Bug Fix
- We squashed a bug that was causing issues when using bulk item actions to move items from one auction to another with matching lot IDs. Everything should now work smoothly as expected.
Apr. 15
- Introducing: Auction Staging
- Build your auctions in peace! You can now stage items behind the scenes before going live.
- Draft Mode: Upload photos and refine descriptions privately. Staff and admins can see these staged items (marked with an "Unpublished" watermark), but they are completely hidden from the general public.
- Go Live Your Way: Publish items one-at-a-time or use the new "Publish All" button to go live in a single click.
- Safety First: To prevent accidental errors, items cannot be "Unpublished" if they are currently active or accepting bids in a live auction.
- Support article coming soon!
- Major Image Quality Upgrade
- We've vastly upgraded image quality across the platform.
- We have also patched the edge case bugs involving image orientation and editing within the cataloging app. With these fixes deployed, the platform now fully leverages our image upgrade.
- Important to note: Photos on the platform are now using AVIF format.
- Enhanced Admin Tools
- Smart Tax Search: No more scrolling! You can now type to search tax rates on Invoices and Settlements.
- Filter by Organization: Quickly sort your Invoices and Settlements by Company or Organization.
Apr. 8
- Quick Capture in Cataloging
- Say goodbye to the "middle man." We've removed the editor step between photos in the cataloging app, allowing you to snap-and-go for much faster item entry. (Note: If you prefer the editor, you can disable Quick Capture under your catalog settings.)
- Scan to Checkout
- We've added scanning functionality to individual lots on the Pick List. Scanning an item will automatically select it on the Checkout screen, keeping your pickup lines moving fast.
- Default Starting Bids
- Save time on data entry by setting a default starting bid at either the Company or Auction level.
- Cleaner Clerking Search
- We've refined bidder search results in the clerking panels for better clarity and speed.
- Filtered Results: The search now ignores email addresses, focusing strictly on Paddle Numbers and Bidder Names.
- Accuracy: By removing email matches from the clerk's view, the system reduces the risk of selecting the wrong bidder during the fast-paced environment of a live auction.
- Bug Fixes
- Global Item Search is now fully functional during cascading closes, keeping your bidders engaged until the final hammer falls. We also updated search results in the live clerking panel so paddle numbers remain visible while searching.
Mar. 4
- Improved Range Selection
- We've upgraded the Shift + Click behavior within the Admin Portal to be smoother than ever.
- Clerking Panels Range Selection
- This lightning-fast selection behavior has now been extended to both the Online and Live Clerking Panels. Clerks can now highlight a range of items in a fraction of the time.
- Enhanced Invoice Search
- You can now filter your invoices by Lot ID, giving you a more direct path to the data you need when reconciling or answering bidder questions.
Feb. 25
- Item Estimates (High/Low)
- You can now store high and low estimates directly on your items. Want your bidders to see them? There's a new toggle that lets you display these estimates on the bidder view, giving your audience more confidence and guidance as they bid!
- On-the-Fly Terms & Conditions
- No more jumping between screens! You can now create or edit your Terms and Conditions directly within the auction setup. It's a faster, more intuitive way to ensure your legal fine print is perfect for every sale.
Feb. 19
- Precision Multi-Par Mapping
- You can now manually draw and overlay precise parcel boundaries directly onto live Google Maps for multi-par auctions. As combinations shift during the auction, the map updates instantly to show exactly which plots are in play.
- The upgrade: Give your bidders a high-definition, interactive view of the actual terrain.
- The benefit: Total geographical clarity = higher bidder confidence and bigger results for your sellers.
- Global Watchlist
- Bidders can now "star" items across every active auction and track them in one sleek, unified view. No more jumping between auctions; they can monitor and bid on everything they love from one screen.
- The benefit: Keeps bidders engaged longer and makes it easier for them to spend across multiple events.
Feb. 13
- Bug Fix for Moved Items on Invoices
- When items are moved between bidder invoices, the original bid type now stays intact. This ensures the correct buyer's premium is applied every time.
- Permanent Bidder Numbers + Linked Auction Groups
- Clerking to permanent bidder numbers now works seamlessly inside Linked Auction Groups. Even if a permanent bidder hasn't registered yet, the system will automatically register them and assign the bid correctly, just like in non-LAG auctions.
- Faster, Cleaner Clerking with Auto-Accept Control
- For clerks who use the auto-accept feature in live auctions, we've improved this feature to give you better control during final calls. As you hit "Sold," auto-accept pauses and prompts a quick confirmation so late sniper bids don't slip in after the hammer falls, reducing reversals and bidder frustration.
Jan. 29
- Mobile Branding
- You can now fully control the look of our new mobile navigation bar! Customize the navigation bar color and set specific colors for both active and inactive icons to ensure your app looks exactly the way you want it to.
- Dynamic Invoice Contact Info
- We've added a new variable to your invoice settings. Now, you can automatically populate the specific contact information associated with an invoice setting, making it easier for bidders to know exactly who to reach out to for questions.
- Registration Fix
- We've squashed a bug where questionnaires with only optional questions weren't appearing during registration. Now, your bidders will see every question you want to ask, whether it's required or not!
Jan. 19
- Seamless Sign-Out
- We've corrected a navigation bug that affected bidders signing out from auction or item pages. Instead of being interrupted by an intermediate "Go to Homepage" screen, bidders are now transitioned smoothly back to the UI. It's one less click for them and a cleaner, more professional look for your brand.
- Performance and Security Improvement
- We also performed some significant "under-the-hood" maintenance on our core administrative engine this week. These back-end upgrades ensure the platform stays fast, stable, and secure as your bidding volume grows.
Jan. 13
- Improved Pickup Scheduling
- Tired of the "when can I come get my items?" phone calls? You can now add a Pickup Scheduling URL to your auction. This allows you to drop a dynamic link directly into your invoice settings, letting bidders book their own time slots in seconds.
- The Result: Less administrative overhead and a professional experience for your buyers.
- Auction Progress Improvements
- Your reporting should be seamless, regardless of how the item was sold. Our Auction Progress Report now fully supports "live" data. If an item is sold live, you'll see all the critical details (paddle number, bidder info, high bid, and max bid) matching the data you already get for online sales.
- The Result: One unified report for a total view of your auction's success.
Jan. 6
- Reserve Met Visibility Controls
- You can now choose whether bidders see when a reserve has been met. A new "Show reserve met" setting allows you to disable that text entirely, helping keep bidders focused on the action without revealing when the reserve is cleared.
- Import Tax Rates with Bidder Lists
- You can now include Tax Rate IDs when importing bidders via csv files. This is especially helpful for tax-exempt buyers and ensures unlocked invoices are updated automatically, with no more manual fixes.
- More Flexible Seller Check Layouts
- We've added "Check Payable To" and "Company/Organization" fields to expand our check layout fields, making your payout process more professional and automated.
- Clearer Online Bid Visibility During the Auction
- Online bids are now highlighted in the auction progress screen, so auctioneers can spot online activity at a glance during the heat of the auction.
- Bug Fix
- We also resolved an issue in the Settlement UI where expenses weren't properly linked to statement rows.
