Marketing Tip #1: Tease the launch

Anticipation. You know the feeling. The increased heart rate, the smile as you look forward to that [insert thing you really want] you’ve been waiting for. That’s the goal here. To build up the excitement in preparation for premiering your new app.

So how can you do that?

Your website is a good place to start. See below for an example of how Cottonwood Auctions placed the news on their home page:

In addition, there’s your blog (if you have one) as well as your social media sites. Post it, share it, instagram it, tweet it … however you do it, just get the word out through all the digital media you normally use. (And if you don't currently use any, consider starting.)

We’ve created some assets to help build the visuals that will accompany your announcement. In your Dropbox 1 folder you should find:

  • "Buttons" for the Apple App and Google Play stores.
  • Graphic of the splash screen of your app on a smartphone.
  • The icon for your app.
